Protective Factors
Help your youth build resiliency and reduce the likelihood of criminal involvement and victimization by focusing on protective factors.
Children and youth vulnerable for gang grooming and recruitment do not fit a specific mold or come from a specific neighbourhood, ethnicity or socio-economic background. For this reason, it’s important to build protective factors for all children in Surrey.
Protective factors focus on strengths that help build resiliency and reduce the likelihood of criminal involvement and victimization. Protective factors can be built within an individual (internal) or insulated around an individual (external).
